Randy Petersen is the founder of Petersen Creative Enterprises and its primary consultant, coach, and writer. He has lived in the Philadelphia area most of his life.
He has authored or co-authored more than 60 books, covering subjects ranging from history to psychology, music, sports, and the Bible. He has also written church curriculum, plays, survey reports, blog posts, puzzle books, magazine articles, software content, websites, and ad copy.
Apart from his writing, Randy has taught theater and public speaking at the college level, directed plays in local theaters, and served in various leadership roles at his Methodist church.
This broad experience enables him to write on a wide range of subjects. It also helps him come alongside writers in developing their own work. A co-author or coach learns to leave ego behind. The message is most important, and Randy’s good at focusing on the most important points and shaping the written piece around that. As a consultant, he listens well in meetings and synthesizes various ideas to propose a satisfying way forward.
"For the 20 years Randy Petersen has walked alongside our organization, he has demonstrated compassion for the disenfranchised, commitment to justice, and an exceptional ability to share stories that open eyes and hearts without diminishing the dignity of those he seeks to help."
